Tanabe, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan is the birthplace of Aikido’s Founder Ueshiba Morihei. His grave site is located at Kozan-ji Temple in the city of Tanabe.
Hombu Dojo is planning a two-day tour of Tanabe City, the birthplace of the Founder, on March 17 & 18, 2012. A ceremony and a seminar, instructed by Doshu Moriteru Ueshiba, will be held in commemoration of the Founder. There will also be a party and a sightseeing trip to Tanabe.
The participants will receive a direct instruction from Doshu, concerning the spiritual and technical side of Aikido. The Memorial for the Founder of Aikido (Shinobu Kai) will be held at Kozanji Temple.
